PET Joins REScoop, Europe's Federation of Energy Communities

Platform for Energy Transition has been welcomed as a new supporter of REScoop, the European federation of energy communities, which represents more than 2,500 energy initiatives and around two million citizens across 30+ countries.

PET joins five other new supporters from the Western Balkans this month: SERDA (Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency), Sinergija plus and Energis from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and ETMI and CoPlan from Albania, marking a stronger regional presence within this European coalition.

REScoop advocates for energy democracy, a model in which citizens and local communities play an active role in producing and governing renewable energy. Through EU-level advocacy, capacity building and peer learning among its members, the federation supports the growth of energy communities across the continent.

Becoming part of this network gives PET access to European resources, tools and shared experience from energy communities across Europe, and reflects the Platform's ongoing work to advance the energy transition in Serbia.
