Regional Dialogue, Networking and Partnerships

PET serves as a platform for stakeholder dialogue and cooperation, connecting citizens, local governments, experts, academia, civil society organizations, the private sector and public institutions around practical energy transition challenges.

Expert and Practitioner Networks: Through PET NET, the organization brings together energy transition experts, practitioners and partner organizations to exchange knowledge, develop cooperation opportunities and support community energy models in Serbia and the region.

National Community Energy Dialogue: PET initiated and coordinates the national Community Energy Hub, a space for stakeholders interested in citizen energy and energy communities to exchange information, identify common challenges and advocate for clear rules and practical solutions that enable community energy projects in Serbia.

Regional and Cross-Border Cooperation: With support from partners such as the Heinrich Boll Foundation and EUKI, PET promotes energy democratization through cooperation with organizations and initiatives from Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia and other countries in the region. This cooperation includes peer learning, study visits, joint project development, knowledge exchange and regional dialogue on citizen energy, local energy planning and just transition.

Events, Conferences and Study Visits: PET has built a strong track record as a trusted regional convenor, designing and hosting conferences, expert workshops, webinars, open-call seminars and study visits that create meaningful spaces for dialogue, peer-to-peer learning and practical cooperation. These formats connect local actors with regional and European experience, encourage exchange between practitioners, institutions and community initiatives, and often serve as a starting point for new partnerships, joint activities and follow-up collaboration. Examples include PET’s annual conferences in Nisand regional study visits that bring together local initiatives, experts, institutions and young professionals around practical energy transition solutions.
