Srđan Janković
Executive Director, PET Montenegro
Srđan Janković leads PET Montenegro from Cetinje, representing the organization and managing its projects and partnerships across the country. Srđan is a journalist with more than thirty years of experience working, either occasionally or permanently, for the most influential regional and international media outlets. Over the course of his career, he has specialized in reporting on domestic and foreign policy, economics, human rights, and the environment, as well as in following the process of the region's countries joining the European Union.
His many years of experience span radio, television, and print journalism, as well as work on internet platforms.
In addition to his journalistic work, Srđan has simultaneously collaborated with influential non-governmental organizations dealing with human rights protection and environmental issues, contributing to a broader public understanding of these topics. This collaboration provided access to relevant analyses, research, and data that served as the basis for deeper and more well-argued reporting, contributing to the transparency of social processes and oversight of decision-making centers.
He has devoted part of his career to training young people to recognize false and manipulative information, and he has also trained future PR managers in how to communicate with the media and journalists.
For the past 26 years, he has lived and worked in Montenegro.
PET Montenegro draws on the expertise of the platform's cofounders and core team - in energy law, municipal energy planning, renewable energy, climate resilience, Nature-based Solutions and just transition.
